Good News Plastering

Privacy policy

This page explains what happens to the details you give us when you ask Good News Plastering for a quote.

Who is responsible

Good News Plastering is run by Darren Goodchild, a sole trader, and he is responsible for the details you send us. You can reach us on 07456 182265, onWhatsAppor by email at [email protected].

What the quote form asks for

The quote form asks for your name, phone number, postcode, the service you need, a description of the job and how you'd like us to get back to you. We only use them to reply to you about that job. The site has no accounts and does not use cookies or analytics.

How your request reaches us

When you press "Get my quote", your details go to our website, which Microsoft Azure hosts. The website passes them straight to Resend, an email service, and Resend emails them to our Gmail inbox, which Google runs. The website keeps no copy of what you send. Resend keeps a record of the email for a short time to show it was delivered.

Photos, texts and calls

Once your request is sent, you can press "Send photos on WhatsApp" to send us photos of the job. Nothing goes until you press send in WhatsApp. WhatsApp is run by Meta, and its own privacy terms cover that chat.

If the form can't send, it gives you buttons to send the same details on WhatsApp or as a text instead. A text goes through your mobile network. If you call us, the call goes through your phone provider like any other call.

What we keep and for how long

Your quote email stays in our Gmail, and any WhatsApp or text messages stay on our phone. We delete them within 12 months of the last time we heard from you. Microsoft Azure keeps the same standard request logs it does for any website.

Deleting your details

To ask us to delete your quote email and messages sooner, call us on07456 182265, send us aWhatsApp message or use the email address above. You can delete your own copy of a WhatsApp or text conversation at any time.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete the details we hold about you. If you are unhappy with how we handle them, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
